Kay Myers

Fifth Grade Social Studies and Language Arts Teacher

Appointed 2010

It is hard to believe that I am about to begin my 39th year of teaching. I can honestly say I am still in love with teaching and look forward to the adventures and challenges of a new year. I began my career in the public schools in Nebraska and most recently taught in North East ISD in San Antonio before coming to St. George. This is my second year here, and I am delighted to be a part of the caring, family atmosphere.

My husband and I are both native Nebraskans who love (crazy as it may sound) the Texas climate. We have five children between us, he has two sons and I have three daughters. We are fortunate that all but one have followed us to Texas. We have nearly all of our grandchildren here as well, and welcomed a new baby girl into our family in June, bringing our count to six girls and one boy. We also have two dogs that pretty much run our household. In my spare time I enjoy reading, traveling, learning new things, and spending time with family and friends.
