Board & Vestry
Get To Know Us.
Three distinct bodies work together to set governing policy for St. George. They are the school’s administration (as represented by our head of school), a school board made up of parents and community members who are chosen by election, and the Vestry of St. George Episcopal Church. The democratic nature of this arrangement allows for a range of perspectives and voices to be heard during the decision-making process and is an important mechanism for achieving consensus on issues that affect the entire St. George community.
School Board
The role of the St George School Board of Directors is to provide broad policy direction to the Head of School, oversight of the properties and funds of the school, and to establish policies and principles necessary for safe and efficient operations.
Board Members are chosen by election to 3 year terms, subject to approval by the St George Episcopal Church Vestry. The Vestry of the Church empowers the School Board of Directors to ensure the integrity of the mission of the School.
