Sarah Aylsworth

Fifth Grade Teacher

Appointed 2017

I feel in love with St. George at first sight! I have been in the education world for 10 years ranging from 5th to 8th grade. After 5 years in public school, I made the transition to private school through an Episcopalian school in Houston, St. Francis. After my husband’s job relocated us to San Antonio, my wonderful connections at St. Francis guided me to St. George. I have always wanted a school that became my family and St. George has provided that from the beginning. From the interview process through meeting my team to beginning the school year, everyone I have met through St. George has been truly remarkable. I know I am truly blessed to be a part of such a wonderful community!

First and foremost, sports play a huge role in my life. I grew up with three older brothers, so I had no choice but to toughen up and accept it. I played volleyball for most of my life, but love watching and enjoying any sport. My husband, Bob, and I met over 6 years ago through golf and have been happily married for just over 4 years. We had our first daughter, Briley Jo, in May 2016. While I am partial, she is one of the funniest and coolest kids I know. We also have two puppy-babies: Libby, a 14-year-old black lab and Ranger, a 6-year-old shih tzu. Our family enjoys to do anything outside, which is why we are very quickly falling in love with San Antonio. I was born and raised in Houston and attended University of Houston, but have become a huge Michigan State fan through marriage.

I can wholeheartedly say that I have the best job on the planet. I get to play for a living and translate that play into life changing lessons. No matter how many years I have been teaching, I always look forward to the school year!
