Alex Malacara

Middle School Spanish Teacher

Appointed 2016
My name is Alejandro Malacara. I am a native of Guadalajara, Mexico, and have been living in San Antonio since September of 2014.
Working at St. George has been such a blessing to me! The way the faculty and staff care about each of our students is the motor that drives our teaching. We are all passionate educators who genuinely enjoy and care about doing our part in forging the next generation. We always put an emphasis on being kind and loving, but we also keep in mind the importance of challenging our students to help them become the best they can be.
I started working as an educator in Mexico. At first, my main roll was to guide students through workshops and tutoring. After a couple of years, life gave me the opportunity to work with the kids in a classroom environment. I have never looked back since!
Education is my passion, and St. George has been an amazing place to share my experience and love for my culture and language. St. George has one of the most loving, inclusive, and awesome communities I have ever had the pleasure to be a part of!
